Lewis Men's Lacrosse Awarded Four Major GLVC Postseason Awards; 11 Named All-GLVC

The Great Lakes Valley Conference announced its 2024 Postseason Awards for men's lacrosse as 11 Flyers have their name on All-GLVC Recognition while  (San Diego, California/Mt. Carmel HS / CCBC-Essex) was named Offensive Player of the Year,  (Libertyville, Illinois/Libertyville HS) was awarded Specialist of the Year,  (Chanhassen, Minnesota/Chanhassen HS) won Goalkeeper of the Year and  captured Coach of the Year. 

Perruzzi led the Flyers to a 11-4 record so far this season and the program's first GLVC regular season crown, the No. 1 seed and the right to host the GLVC Men's Lacrosse Tournament. 

Clement was awarded first-team honors in addition to Offensive Player of the Year. The graduate student leads the team and ranks third in the GLVC with 37 goals scored and 25 assists. 

Clement was a big reason Lewis is hosting this weekend as he scored the goal to force overtime and the game-winner in overtime in the Flyers' senior day win over Rockhurst.

Rathe was named to first-team in addition to winning Goalkeeper of the Year for the second consecutive season. The goalie has only allowed 111 goals so far (fewest in GLVC), made 183 saves (third in GLVC) for a .622 save percentage (first in GLVC, fourth in NCAA II). 

Tarello also earned a first-team nod in addition to his Specialist of the Year award. The junior went 149-228 (65.4 percent) in faceoffs this year which ranks eighth in NCAA II while currently leading the team and ranking fourth in the GLVC with 74 groundballs. 

 (Edina, Minnesota/Edina HS) rounded out first-team honors for Lewis as the freshman played all 15 contests for the Flyers this season while recording 30 groundballs and 18 caused turnovers. 

 (Crystal Lake, Illinois/Crystal Lake Central HS) was named All-GLVC Second Team after the junior saw action in all 15 matches for Lewis in 2024 and recorded 28 groundballs during the season. 

 (Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada/Pitt Meadows Secondary School),  (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada/Claremont Secondary School),  (Crystal Lake, Illinois/Crystal Lake Central HS),   (Eagan, Minnesota/Eagan HS) and  (Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota/Simley HS) were all awarded Honorable Mention Honors.

Andre has five goals scored while assisting 21 more in 15 matches for Lewis so far this season. Andre's 21 assists rank third on the team and fifth in GLVC. 

Dalep has played in every match so far this season while recording 16 goals, 15 groundballs and 13 assists. 

McLean has recorded 18 goals for the Flyers up to this point and seeing action in all 15 games for Lewis this season. McLean was also the GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Honoree. 
 
Merwin has seen the field in every match so far for Lewis as the senior has recorded 10 groundballs and caused 13 turnovers.

Suchy stepped foot in all 15 matches this season and ranks fourth on the team with 34 groundballs and second with 15 caused  turnovers this season. 



ÌðÐÄÖ±²¥ is set to host the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Lacrosse Tournament for the first time in program history this week, with the semifinals set for Thursday (May 2) and the final on Saturday (May 4). The Flyers earned the right to host by taking down Rockhurst in overtime, 14-13, on Senior Day and defeating Maryville earlier in the season to win the tiebreaker at the top of the conference standings.
